Non-Resident Licenses and Tags

Non-Residents must present one of the following to obtain a license to hunt in Ontario:

• an Ontario non-resident's hunting license issued to you after January 1, 1968, or

• a hunting license issued to you by a competent authority in any jurisdiction as a resident of that jurisdiction* after January 1, 1968, or

• an Ontario Hunting License Examination Certificate issued to you after January 1, 1968, or

• an Ontario Hunting License Verification Certificate showing you were issued an Ontario license to hunt; or passed the Hunting License Exam, or

• a certificate, issued to you after January 1, 1968, by a competent authority in any jurisdiction, giving you permission to purchase a resident's hunting license in that jurisdiction.* A hunting license from your home state from a previous year is accepted. It will not be returned to you.

Wildewood will issue you your valid 2003 hunting license when you arrive. To be valid, you must sign it on its completion. Please send your old license (as in the above requirement) 30 days prior to arrival so we can have it ready.

Tags and game seals are considered to part of the license. (Dollars in Canadian)

Moose Licenses, Tags, and Game Seals $330.00

Black Bear Licenses, Certificates, and Game Seals $180.00

Whitetail Deer License, Tags and Game Seals $180.00

Non-residents must have a Black Bear Hunting License Validation Certificate as well as a black bear hunting license. They must also complete the report that comes with the Certificate and return it to the issuer of the Certificate by the date indicated.

Small Game Licenses and Tags
This license authorizes a non-resident to hunt game birds (except wild turkey), rabbits and hares in most areas, raccoon (except at night), and black, grey, and fox squirrels but not red squirrels. You are not authorized to hunt American crow, brown-headed cowbird, common grackle, house sparrow, red-winged blackbirds, or starlings. $90.00.

Wolf and Coyote Licenses
The cost of this license is $250.00 (you may purchase two of these) in addition to this you will also need to purchase a Small Game license.
